The role of the Sales Engineer or network Architect is to support the Account Managers by designing industry leading WAN and ISP solutions that meet customer needs; that can be delivered on FX platforms, meet the Service Levels and provide a high quality customer experience. \134par
\134par
Work with customer and channel technical staff to understand customer needs, design a suitable solution, and resolve technical issues.\134par
Support the sales team on assigned sales opportunities for both complex and non complex opportunities\134par
Manage all assigned non complex sales from conception to closure and delivery\134par
Assist in the preparation of RFP\047s \134par
Assist the sales team with proposals, quotes and contract preparation throughout the sales cycle.\134par
Prepare the Scope of Work Schedule for the NSA and the Network Diagram and design documentation\134par
Liaise with engineers and network administrators to ensure the solution is technically feasible within the constraints of client platforms\134par
Liaise with the GM Sales over pricing and quality control\134par
Liaise with customer delivery to ensure the solution is delivered to specification.\134par

Preparation of sales proposals\134par
Prepare proposal - the Solution Overview, Network Design, and Scope of Work \134par
Prepare quotations using the Customer database system\134par
Sign off from GM Sales and CFO where necessary\134par
Liaise with channel partners as appropriate\134par
Liaise with customers as appropriate\134par
Liaise with FX engineering staff and the FX Customer Delivery Team as appropriate to ensure that the Solution is delivered as designed\134par

The Account Manager has the overall responsibility for proposals and quotes especially the commercial terms. The Solutions Architect is responsible for the technical solution, design, and documentation.\134par

Understanding of the client product suite\134b0\134par
\134par
Comprehensively understand all client products and services\134par
Monitor the non complex proposals for compliance with rate card\134par
Prepare the ROI worksheet and gain approval for discounts or pricing of non standard offerings\134par
\134par
\134b Documentation and Business Process\134b0\134par
\134par
Ensure that all documentation is produced to the highest quality\134par
Ensure that there is an audit trail of all interaction with teams, Channels and partners and the customer\134par
Ensure that all proposals are as timely and as accurate as possible\134par
Ensure that Proposals, Quotations, Design Documents are filed in accordance with the documented process\134par
Ensure that customer billing is initiated in accordance with the Contract and Process\134par
