Position Overview
Primary Focus
The primary focus of the role is to manage the accounts payable function to ensure that all creditors invoiced are efficiently processed in a timely manner. This will provide the finance team with key information required to produce financial reports. The service provided will enable payments to be made on a weekly basis, verifying amounts and reconciling these in the financial system. This role will also ensure that the NZFI payroll is paid on weekly basis.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables
Invoice and Payroll Processing ·
Efficiently process staff expenditure for the Blue Chip Financial Services Group ·
Process commissions for NZFI ·
Process weekly payroll for the NZFI and Tasman Communication businesses ·
Set up and maintain automatic payments ·
Process daily accounting transactions, attaching invoices to statements and requesting outstanding invoices. ·
Reconcile accounts from MYOB to statementsSuccess in this Key Accountability will be measured by:· All invoices are processed accurately before cut-off times ·
Monthly reconciliations are accurate and on time
Customer Service ·
Develop effective relationships with suppliers to keep them fully informed as to where payments are at requesting additional information where required ·
Work with clients to maximise payment terms for both parties benefit·
Respond to staff queries and ensure that all relevant information is obtained from them and that they are fully informed of details affecting them·
Collect and distribute mail for finance·
Respond to queries from the IRD and Work and Income Success in this Key Accountability will be measured by:·
Positive feedback is received from internal and external customers ·
Creditor terms are maximised
Accounting Systems and process improvement
Keep MYOB transactions up to date ensuring that all information is accurate and entered according to company procedure·
Identify ways of making improvements to accounts payable processes, looking at how this affects other areas of finance and other operationsSuccess in this Key Accountability will be measured by:· MYOB information is accurate and updated daily ·

Person Specification
Experience/ Knowledge
Experience in an accounts payable and payroll function·
It is preferable to have worked with MYOB Accounting and Payroll Software
