Description | Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced service delivery-project manager to be located in Wellington. The successful candidate will enjoy the cut and thrust of projects but will also be happy to manage the day-to-day relationships with our existing client base in the lower North Island. While we anticipate that most of the work will be in the lower North Island and upper South Island, travel to other parts of New Zealand and Australia may be required from time to time.
The successful candidate will be a mature, self-motivated person, who can demonstrate significant experience in the management of vendor / client relationships. They will be able to work alone or as part of a team, and while experience in the health sector is a bonus, we believe that getting the right personal qualities is as essential.
Our ideal candidate will have the following experience:
·A strategic thinker with a demonstrated commercial focus
·A demonstrated record of managing vendor - client relationships, and identify new opportunities
·A minimum of 5 years of project management experience using structured project management methodologies, and with a demonstrated record of successful delivery
·Maintaining the relationship with clients and functioning as a liaison between clients and project teams
·An understanding of the capabilities of relevant technologies (interface engines or portal technology, C, C++, UNIX, XML, RDBMS, Java, Javascript, HTML, with multi-tier architectures,
·Internet technologies would be an advantage
·Contributing to the preparation of proposals, tenders and bids and assisting with sales and pre-sales activities
·Networking with key customers, partners and industry representatives

·Must be a pragmatic, flexible, "can-do" person with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines yet maintain professionalism
·A lateral thinker, able to think on your feet
·Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and to resolve conflict
.Strong client and team lead skills and the ability to communicate issues clearly to both business and technology professionals
Must be self-disciplined, able to manage your own time
