Main Purpose of the Role
Having specific responsibility for the Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Functionality and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

Accounts Payable Preparation of Financial information and Data Entry at Transactional Level Load Vendor Details Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Vendor payment runs. Complete vendor account application forms. Distribute pay notification forms Petty Cash. Prepare Journal entries into Great Plains. All accounts payable - overseas, NZ, expense forms, couriers, Fed Ex presented for payment have been coded, certified and authorized for payment in accordance with company policy and procedures DFA's Data Entry of all accounts payable into Accounting System. Credit card expense verification, account coding and data entry into Great Plains.
New vendors loaded into Great Plains the same day the approved new vendor form received. Daily review of new vendors created in Payables. Process Vendor payments on 20th month. Printing of weekly and monthly AP reportsˇPetty cash to be reconciled 20th month. Ensure all paperwork is organised, filed and assembled as per company standard.
Person Specification
Technical Expertise. Strong analytical skills. Good understanding of commonly used computer based accounting applications. Advanced knowledge of spread sheeting applications e.g. Excel. Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar.
Teamwork - Have strong people skills with the ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally. Able to manage the performance of direct reports and the national finance team.Work effectively with others sharing ideas and information to ensure positive outcomes.
Be a team player with the ability to develop as appropriate a team approach to strategy development and goal achievement.

Ability to manage workloads, including own, to ensure all deadlines are met and work is completed to agreed standards. Absolute commitment to best practice.
