Eye Clinic -Perioperative Registered Nurse

Our client needs a perioperative nurse for a modern private hospital.

You will be able to prepare a suitable clinical environment to meet the ophthalmic and individual needs of the patient undergoing surgical or laser procedures.

Essential requirements are:
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Take responsibility for the care and well- being of all patients with an ophthalmic condition.
Understand individual and societal attitudes to visual impairment.
Promote ocular health.
Maintain and develop personal ophthalmic knowledge and skill base.
Support other staff in the unit.

This is a part-time role for 26 hours a week over 3 days and is a short-term contract for 6 months.

You will also need to be a registered nurse with a current APC and be a NZ resident.
