The QA Load Test Engineer is responsible for evaluating the performance and scalability of the various Server products. You'll design test applications and hook them up to our products, meanwhile recording your results and assessments in clear communications that provide the entire team with the critical information they need to improve the products. You'll work with the Software Project Manager and the Senior Architect, as well as members of the Development and QA teams, to ensure that our products get the workout they need to deliver the solutions our clients demand. Responsibilities: - Design test applications that even non-technical folks can use - Implement tests and communicate results in meaningful ways - Evaluate Server design and architecture to find new test opportunities - Keep key project members in the loop about ongoing Server performance Requirements: - At least five years of experience developing load test applications in Java - Use of 3rd party testing applications such as JMeter would be desirable - Good working knowledge of C++ would be an asset - At least three years experience working with Linux - Solid understanding of Server technology, hardware and software - Organized and effective communication skills - Demonstrably passionate about quality development - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering If making uncrashable Servers crash stirs your blood, or if you revel in the cries of developers watching their code sink under your test regimen, this job is for you.
