Accountabilities·Design and develop test scripts and scenarios. Work with Business Analysts and Developers to gain a comprehensive understanding of system function.· Work within a team of functional testers and liaise with all necessary stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of software defects. Conform with the test strategy & test plans and meet formal specifications. Follow the software development life cycle methodology through the life of the project with specific focus on software testing steps. Requirements Mandatory Skills At least 3 years experience in software testing and quality assurance. Experience working in a team of testing professionals on a large scale software development project. High order written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Skills Experience within a J2EE/Java/.Net commercial software development environment. Exposure to the insurance industry. Experience with Agile SDLC methods Exposure to automated testing tools. Experience with Business Rules systems (eg. Idiom, iLog, Axe, Pega, Prolog) Personal Skills Able to demonstrate a high level of problem solving ability. Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision. Demonstrated ability to make a positive contribution the team and business environment. Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to excellence.
