Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Liaise with business users-business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Undertake logical and physical data modelling (3NF and Dimensional) using ERWin. Develop flexible and efficient solutions to business problems, using Teradata SQL, Microstrategy and 3 party CRM products. Perform source data profiling and analysis. Work in an informal and dynamic environment under your own initiative whilst still maintaining the best interests of the team and project. Plan, estimate and prioritise personal work schedules whilst working under pressure within aggressive delivery timescales. Take ownership of technical delivery issues and manage solutions. Communicate effectively with both senior management and technical specialists. Provide support to teradata DBA activities. Education and Experience Degree in an IT related subject. 5+ years experience in a Datawarehouse Consultant or Analyst/Developer role within large scale Teradata or Oracle environments. DBA or CRM experience advantageous. Skills/Qualities Teradata or Oracle SQL development and performance tuning experience. Data modelling skills with experience of one of the following modelling tools (Erwin, Oracle Designer). OLAP delivery tool experience with one of following (MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, Cognos). ETL tool experience (Informatica). Development DBA capabilities. Excellent written and spoken English.
