Contract position for 3-6 months; Approximately 3 days per week Our Client is one of New Zealand's fastest growing technology exporters, based in Auckland with customers throughout the world. Exceptional growth and a landslide of good new stories means that they are seeking a Public Relations specialist to assist in raising the profile of the company in the minds of the New Zealand public. Working alongside their marketing team and corporate managers, the successful applicant will have prime responsibility for developing and communicating the corporate profile in New Zealand. To be considered for the position you must have demonstrated the ability to: Develop and implement a long term PR strategy and communications plan Formulate and communicate messages about an organisation Identify story ideas and refine them for maximum media impact Draft and write press releases/media pitches based on existing corporate material plus develop new stories Liaise with the media Measure the success of PR activities. Required competencies: Demonstrated corporate public relations/media experience In depth knowledge of the NZ media market. This position will initially be recruited on a contract basis for 3 to 6 months, with a view to a permanent full time position. Our client is also flexible and will negotiate on weekly working hours, with the expectation of approximately 3 days per week
