You will report to the General Manager. As Manager of the Estimating Department your responsibilities will include. Support the General Manager, Area/Divisional Managers and specifically the Auckland Area manager in the work identification, tender preparation and submissions. Run a weekly Tender Review Meeting - prepare all necessary work papers for attendees - includes coordinating key Tender information for rest of the organisation. Provide weekly and monthly reports as agreed with the General Manager. Run the Sales, Tender and Estimating Team to support the Auckland Region and the wider group - manage allocation of bids to Team and ensure delivery to required timeframes and company policy and standards. Pricing Knowledge: Ensure good communications between Tender Office and Project Managers to leverage market knowledge / put feedback mechanisms in place / monitor rate changes and underlying rationale. Prepare commercially acceptable bids, and review with Divisional/Area Manager then if required the General Manager. Ensure Tender bids and documentation are produced to the organisation's quality standards. Prepare/Handover Project Files to Area Manager. Attend ALL Pre-construction and project completion meetings and update Tender Team as to outcomes. Ensure the organisation has the estimating capability and capacity to deal with peak workloads, by if necessary using contract personnel. Any other duties required from time to time from within the organisation.We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience.Tertiary level qualification in Quantity surveying. Project Management skills and experience. Advanced level Computer skills.
