Description
As a consultant you have many project and client related responsibilities. As an Implementation Consultant, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following - Design, configure, test, and document applications based on a project's functional and business requirements. This includes front-end design, database design, configuration of hardware and applications Maintain and document code and configurations to ensure proper versioning. Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation for project team and client deliverables. Understanding RDBMS and performing data extractions, conversions and manipulations. Participating and-or executing the multiple stages of testing - i.e. Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Regression. Installation and deployment of completed software or demo products. Maintenance, performance tuning, and support of implemented software products. Attending meetings and advising the project manager and solutions architect on technical issues, including enhancement feasibility and impact, estimates for changes, and status of current work. Research technology required for projects to aid in software selection and trouble shooting system errors. Supporting the architect in technical decisions and analyses: hardware, software, and application and architecture design. Post-implementation support. Differentiation based on applications and skills outlined - To apply knowledge and experience to the design, diagnosis, and solving of problems and issues. To deliver these services in a professional manner, To provide technical support and assistance to other implementers and implementation sites. Reviewing and providing feedback on proposed solutions to be implemented. Needs demonstrated experience in - 2+ years of implementation experience. Application of structured implementation methodology. Communicating technical issues to business people, and business issues to technical people. Understanding of relative documentation. Skills Required - Converting a functional specification or architecture solution into an implemented solution using software products and various bespoke components as required. Installing standard products. Configuring of products according to client needs and specification. Developing and implementing bespoke components where no existing product feature exists to satisfy the implementation requirements. Developing of bespoke components for the integration of third party components. Providing mentoring to other implementers. Skills in using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information. Working with new material or information and applying it into a situation, have a clear understanding of the full systems implementation cycle and what factors are key to making a project a success. Problem identification and solving, conducting tests to determine whether equipment, software or procedure are operating as expected. Researching and identifying essential information, managing one's own time. Abilities demonstrated - problem-solve and initiate solutions. Learn new skills and be adaptable to new technologies and communicate that to the rest of the team. Ask questions and seek help when needed. Be mentored and accept criticism.
