Description
A Technical Solutions Architect who is responsible for the technical success of the project. Responsibilities include - Architects should have broad knowledge of a wide range of technologies, as well as specific detailed knowledge of a few technologies. Architects own the technical documentation on a project, and review the non-technical documentation to ensure that their goals and specifics are technically feasible Driving or supporting the software and platform and hardware selection process Partnering with clients to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications and translating those into application functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution Architecting and configuring multi-tier application architecture based on business requirements. Providing ongoing technical guidance and leadership for projects. Communicating technical issues to business people, and business issues to technical people. Personal qualities: resourcefulness, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and self-confidence, strong analytical skills, solid business judgment, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive management. Applies knowledge of system capacity to determine feasibility of projects. Maintains current knowledge of new hardware and software and recommends upgrading to maintain efficient operation. Schedules and assigns work to implementers with the project manager. Performs analysis of department production and redesigns workflow if appropriate. liaise with a broad range of individuals both within and outside of the organization, including working extensively with project teams, clients and stakeholders to gather and confirm project requirements. Technical leadership in Proposal responses. Construction - based on experience and obtaining the experience of others of project pricing and estimating for solutions - adoption of a sound methodology to support this. Ownership of the technical aspects of a project charter - implementation planning study Post implementation support and leadership of others to perform support Mentoring for implementation consultants - including all the responsibilities of an implementation consultant, with the ability to deliver these to a very high standard Needs demonstrated experience in - 3+ years of architect experience as a consultant. Application of structured implementation methodology. Managing a technical team. Communicating technical issues to business people, and business issues to technical people Understanding of relative documentation. Skills required - Strong client and team lead skills. Excellent technical skills across various platforms. Excellent communication skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks. An understanding of clinical information systems and workflow.
