· Calling experienced Product Support and Operations Analysts! · Work in the IT nerve centre of a large insurance company · Change Management, Production and Operations Our client, a blue chip corporate, is seeking to appoint a Product Support and Operations Analyst. This is an intermediate to senior position to assist with team management and backup for change management. Main responsibilities will include operator duties but also assisting with computer room management, change management and improvements in procedural automation etc. The role potentially involves backup for shift work covering 7am to 10pm in 2 to 3 different shifts, and on call duties. Requirements: Experience as Operations Analyst - Batch run monitoring, OS administration, 2nd Level support. Experience with managing computer physical environments Any experience in ITIL methodologies and processes would be a bonus. Skills and Attributes: Unix/AS400/Intel/Mainframe administration Disciplined, organised, process oriented, diligent, durable, good communication skills, quick on the uptake, flexible. Background information: Trans Tasman Data Centre but position is mainly involved with NZ services Team of 5 are responsible for: 4 NZ Unix servers and a small Mainframe on a Numaq UNIX server. All hardware and OS services for these machines. Operational batch runs. 2nd Level Support (and some 3rd level support) for production systems. Computer environments in NZ (mainly 1 medium size site in AK). NZ Change Management. Other NZ Data Centre Teams look after several AS400 servers situated in Sydney and 200 Intel Servers in Auckland.
